Fall registration is now open for our upcoming PS 111 Chess Club & Team!
Program Vision:
From complete beginners to advancing tournament players our goal is that all PS 111 players can experience both the joy & significant social/educational benefits of learning and playing chess. Our PS 111 Team will prepare for local, City, State & National Competitions. Players are matched into groups based on skill, interest level & age. This allows coaches to identify and create the right training environment for each player (complete beginner - advanced competitors).

Thursday Team Practice Players will meet in the cafeteria directly after-school where they will have a light snack. Training and play will take place in classrooms onsite at PS 111. Pickup will occur at 5 PM in the lobby.
Lateral movements will occur, as we experiment with class grouping and activities to identify the optimal training opportunities for our players. Players will be promoted throughout the season as coaches feel fit. A high emphasis on participation, engagement and self-study will be placed on our team groups. PS 111 will have a weekly opening meeting, where past weeks success is recognized, the upcoming events are emphasized and expectations and team spirit is reinforced. 10% sibling discount - use code: sibling Financial assistance available - email [email protected] |
Additional Monday Practice:Please note that in order to maintain the vibrancy and success of our Thursday Chess Club & Team practice, we are now offering Mondays as an additional chess day for those already enrolled in our Thursday Chess Club & Team program.
