Greetings! I am Ms. Nyarko. I teach Science (Grades 2-5) and Technology (1-5) at P.S. 111M. I have been teaching in the Science classroom since 2017.  I enjoy delivering Science and Technology to students in creative ways.  Working with the P.S. 111 staff and students, I conduct an annual science fair in late May/early June.  It's an amazing event, and I hope you join us next school year!

Ms. Berghahn earned a Bachelor of Music while studying classical voice and music education at NYU.  She is now back at NYU completing clinical work for her Master’s degree in Music Therapy. Ms. Berghahn is in her 7th year of teaching at P.S. 111.  She wants her students to learn how to use music as a tool for self-expression, self-awareness, and community building.

Visual Arts: Ms. Galvin earned a BFA in Painting while studying Art Education at SUNY New Paltz, then earned a Master's degree from Brooklyn College.
She has been teaching in the DOE for 17 years and has taught every grade, PK-12.  Ms. Galvin enjoys her summers at the beach,  painting, and cooking. She lives in Brooklyn with her family.
Ms. McAleavey is the P.S. 111 P.E. teacher for all students.  She believes in teaching students the importance of remaining physically fit.  She stresses cooperation, team participation, and good sportsmanship.  Ms. McAleavey also helps to run our spirit days and field day.
